Tucson

I don’t know what you picture when you picture cities, but Tucson was not how I pictured it.

It was way bigger than I thought it was going to be and it was so spread out! From one end to the other took like 45 minutes! Basically nestled in between two mountains. I’m from Cleveland so driving through does not take that long and there are zero mountains. HAH.

Every day it seemed that there were beautiful colors illuminating the sky at sunset and my hubby knows I’m obsessed with a good sunset!

Lodging

We were lucky to get to stay with friends so we didn’t have to find anywhere to stay but there was a pretty happening downtown area, if memory serves correct (and a little google maps reminder) I think it was like Congress Street and N. 4th Ave street that was like a downtown area. Our friends lived closer to the easter mountain range so it was a beautiful view of the mountains!

Sunset

Like I said I LOVE sunsets and so Ricky took me to Gates Pass over in the Tucson Mountain Park area. You HAVE to get there early because everyone knowns it’s a good spot and there is super limited parking and trust me, no one is moving until the sunsets. There are some places to walk and hike while you’re waiting, so we did that, we took our Drone too one day and flew the drone to get some good shots of Tucson and the Saguaro Cactuses.
